Pay-Per-Lead Generation

Exclusive Job Enquiries, Priced Per Lead

We own the ranked assets and carry the cost of them. You pay only when a real enquiry lands.

What you are buying

You are buying a phone that rings with people who have already decided they need the work done. Not impressions, not clicks, not a monthly PDF showing your keyword positions went up.

In most territories the enquiries come from web properties and Google Business Profiles that SugarLoaf Digital owns and has already ranked. That is the whole point of the arrangement: the six to twelve months of ranking work is already done and already paid for by us, so you step into something producing enquiries now rather than funding a build from scratch. The reasoning behind that structure is set out in why rank-and-rent works.

One business per territory

A territory is a defined set of postcodes for a defined trade. When it is taken, it is taken. Your enquiries are not simultaneously sold to three other operators racing you to the callback.

This matters more than most owners realise before they have lived through it. A shared lead arrives with the customer already annoyed, already price-shopping, and already told four different numbers. Your close rate collapses and you end up bidding against people who have not seen the site. The full argument is in exclusive versus shared leads.

What it costs and what moves the price

Price per lead varies by trade and territory. A demolition or restoration enquiry is worth far more than a car detail, so it costs more. A capital city territory with heavy competition costs more than a regional one with thin demand. The pricing page sets out the variables honestly rather than quoting a single figure that would be wrong for most readers.

Before you compare our number to anyone else's, derive your own ceiling using what a lead is worth. If our price sits above your ceiling, do not buy from us. That calculation takes ten minutes and it is the single most useful thing an owner can do before talking to any agency.

How it differs from a retainer agency

A retainer agency bills you the same amount whether you got forty enquiries or four. The risk sits entirely with you. Under pay-per-lead the risk sits with us: if the campaigns produce nothing, we invoice nothing and we have still paid the hosting, the content and the ad spend. That difference shapes every decision either party makes, and it is worked through properly in pay-per-lead versus a retainer agency.

Neither model is universally better. Retainers suit businesses that want to own their marketing asset and have the patience to build it. If that is you, our local SEO service is the retainer-shaped option and we are happy to sell you that instead.

Getting set up

Setup takes a few days, not months. We agree the postcodes and the job types, point a tracking number at your phone, brief you on what the enquiries will sound like, and turn it on. There is no onboarding project, no discovery workshop and no brand strategy document.

If you are on the tools most of the day and cannot reliably answer, add the AI answering service before you switch leads on. Paying for enquiries you do not answer is the fastest way to make this model look expensive.

Before you commit

Read when pay-per-lead is the wrong model. It is a straight list of the situations where this service will lose you money, and we would rather you found yourself on that list now than three invoices in. The trades we currently run territories for are listed on the industries page.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a lead I have to pay for?

A phone call over ninety seconds from a person in your territory asking about a job you do, or a completed form with contact details and a job description. Wrong numbers, sales calls, robocalls, job applicants, people outside your postcodes and enquiries for services you told us you do not offer are not charged. The definition is written into the agreement, not left to interpretation.

How quickly do I get the lead?

Calls ring your phone directly through a tracking number, so there is no delay at all. Form enquiries are sent by SMS and email within about a minute of submission. Speed matters more than almost anything else in this business, so we never batch leads or hold them for a daily summary.

What happens to my leads if I stop?

They go to the next business in that territory, and you keep everything that was registered in your name. We do not hold your Google profile, your phone number or your domain, because none of those were ever ours to hold. That is also why leaving is easy, which is deliberate.

Do you guarantee a number of leads per month?

No, and treat anyone who does with suspicion. Search demand moves with weather, season and the local economy. A storm week produces more tree enquiries than a calm month and no supplier controls that. We forecast a range based on the territory's actual search volume and tell you when we are under it.
